From the series Church of Broken Pieces

From the Latin "to step backwards", this term is applied to the apparent backward motion of the planets through the zodiac as they decrease in longitude as viewed from the earth. "Boogie Oogie Oogie" is a song by American R&B band A Taste of Honey from their 1978 self-titled debut album. The lyrics urge listeners to "boogie oogie oogie till you just can't boogie no more". In this image I imagined a celestial timekeeper with amazing dancing shoes, keeping time to a perpetual two-step, and keeping the universe moving around her.
